In Quality and Environment Policies, PT Smelting is committed to always conduct and develop sustainable CSR activities for all stakeholders based on Good Corporate Governance.
It always maintains sustainable commitment to behave ethically and contribute to economic development also improve the quality of life of manpower and their families as well as local communities.
PT Smelting has conducted and will keep conducting activities related to social responsibility, as follow : It conducts social actions (including life environment) more than the limits demanded by regulations.

Education
PT Smelting consistently supports the development and improvement of education quality in the surrounding areas through several programs, including providing incentives for non-formal teachers, providing educational facilities, providing scholarships, and developing village libraries to stimulate reading interest among residents.
PT Smelting runs the Smelting Resilient Student Program, a scholarship program awarded to 25 selected university students in Gresik Regency. The program, which has been running since 2023, focuses on scholarships, capacity building, spiritual guidance, and study clubs.
In addition, PT Smelting runs the Industry Teaching Program, designed to encourage all employees to contribute to the local community. Through this program, PT Smelting employees and management provide free lessons to vocational high school students in Gresik Regency, tailored to their skills.
Another program is "Issho Ni Benkyo" which translates to "Let's Learn Japanese". This program was first implemented in 2019 and will continue through 2024. It operates in 13 schools across Jakarta, Surabaya, and Gresik.
Health
PT Smelting places a serious emphasis on health, especially in the community surrounding its factory. Fully committed, PT Smelting consistently participates in improving the health of the Gresik Regency community through community health programs in collaboration with the Gresik Regency Government and community health centers (Puskesmas) in Gresik.
Since 2019, one of PT Smelting's health program focuses has been the TB Patient Care Program. By 2024, 942 patients had recovered in Gresik Regency. The main objective of this program is to support TB patients before, during, and after recovery.
In addition, PT Smelting also implements a Stunting Care Program, which targets malnourished children and pregnant women to improve their health and nutritional status. It also conducts a Blood Donation Program every three months to meet the need for blood in Gresik Regency.
Social Economy
As one of the efforts to create an entrepreneurial spirit among the community, especially around the company, PT Smelting provides entrepreneurship training programs and the formation of business units (MSMEs) as well as assistance until the realization of business independence. PT Smelting has a program that focuses on the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Program. PT Smelting established RENEO Shop to accommodate local SME products in Gresik or East Java. It has the goal of developing and increasing the income of SMEs throughout East Java. Until June 2025, Reneo has 18 new suppliers, bringing the total to more than 80 suppliers.
In addition, PT Smeting also initiated the Gresik Batik Development Program in collaboration with the Gresik Regional National Craft Council (Dekranasda) to empower Gresik batik artisans through product improvement, increased visibility, and preservation of cultural heritage. On June 24, 2025, Dekranasda and PT Smelting signed a third-year program of Gresik Batik Development to increase the impact for Gresik Batik artisans.
Not only concentrated in the Gresik area, PT Smelting is expanding and also initiating tourism village programs, namely the Balik ka Bumi Tourism Village community empowerment program in Sukabumi, Mangrove Ecotourism Development in Pangkahkulon Gresik Village, and Sinar Bangsa Livestock Program in several locations in East Java,
Environmental Program
PT. Smelting contributes to efforts to improve the quality of the environment in the area around the company and also Gresik district, through a mangrove conservation program at the mouth of the Leweyan river, Pangkah Kulon village, Ujung Pangkah district, Gresik.
In the Environmental Program, PT Smelting has a Biodiversity Protection Program and Mangrove Ecotourism Development in Pangkahkulon Village, an Environmental Management Program – Proklim & RDEE Village Development (REEI), supporting the activities of the Roomo and Sukomulyo Waste Banks (Waste Banks), funding various conservation activities of endangered animals which is also a priority animal for the Indonesian government to protect. PT Smeltig actively participates in the implementation of Javan Eagle Conservation in Cisarua, Komodo dragon release program, and insemination of Javan bulls and Balinese cattle to revitalize the quality of local cattle so as to target and support food self-sufficiency.
