Since 2014, PT Smelting has implemented a mangrove-based conservation and empowerment program in Pangkahkulon Village, Gresik Regency. This program includes planting mangroves on Lewehan Island and around the Bengawan Solo River. From 2014 to July 2025, PT Smelting planted 77,800 mangroves in the Lewehan Island mangrove conservation area.

To support the sustainability of conservation and community empowerment in Pangkahkulon Village, PT Smelting donated the construction of a greenhouse for mangrove cultivation. The greenhouse's purpose is not only for mangrove cultivation but also to serve as an educational tool for residents and students interested in mangroves.
