The Resilient Students Scholarship Program, PT Smelting’s Commitment to Improve Education in Gresik

PT Smelting continues to demonstrate its commitment to support the human resource quality improvement through sustainable education programs. One of these initiatives is the Resilient Student Scholarship Program which focuses on mentoring high-achieving students from underprivileged families in Gresik Regency since 2023. On Sunday (7/19), PT Smelting officially closes the 2026 Resilient Student Scholarship Program series through a ceremony held at Teras Srawung, Gresik Regency. 

The Resilient Student Scholarship Program is PT Smelting's CSR program in the education sector that combines financial aid for education, soft skills development, mentoring, and character building through various leadership activities and social projects. By 2026, this program gives benefits for 52 students from eight schools in Gresik Regency. 

Muhammad Fuad, Assistant Section Manager of General Affairs at PT Smelting, said that the Resilient Student Scholarship Program is a form of the company's commitment to develop young people who are excellent, have strong character, and are ready to face the future through education quality improvement.

“The Resilient Student Scholarship Program is a real manifestation of PT Smelting's commitment to support the advancement of education in Gresik. We want to shape a young generation that is not only academically excellent but also possesses leadership character and social care. We are proud to see the positive development of the participants during the program,” said Fuad.

One of the beneficiaries of the Resilient Student Scholarship Program from MAN 1 Gresik, Naisya Fara Azaliah, revealed that the program became a turning point that builds her confidence to continue learning and pursuing her dreams. She expressed her appreciation to PT Smelting for the given opportunity.
