PT Smelting has successfully maintained its PROPER Green award for the period of 2024–2025 PROPER assessment and evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Environment / Environmental Control Agency. This result demonstrates PT Smelting’s ongoing commitment to responsible environmental management by ensuring a balance between business activities and sustainable environmental management.
The PROPER Award (Program for Rating the Performance of Companies in Environmental Management) is a form of recognition from the Ministry of Environment / Environmental Control Agency to companies considered success in implementing sustainable environmental management and delivering a positive impact on society. The rating reflects the level of compliance and the real contribution of the business sector in protecting the environment.
The award was directly received by Erika Silva, Vice President of Governmental/External Affairs and M. Imam Muchsony, Assistant Department of SHE at PT Smelting, at Sasono Langen Budoyo, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Jakarta, on Tuesday (7/4/2026).
PT Smelting reaffirmed its commitment by continuing to make innovations that strengthen its environmental management efforts through various initiatives. One of its flagship programs is Kampung Sirkular (Circular Village), which has successfully synergized a range of community environmental programs in Gresik. These include organic and inorganic waste processing, composting, eco enzyme, productive tree planting, and eco print program.
