As a form of concern for flood victims in West Sumatra, North Sumatra, and Aceh, PT Smelting distributed food aid packages containing several items such as rice, cooking oil, corned beef, shredded meat, and canned sardines. This donation is prioritized for communities in areas most severely impacted, including regions experiencing displacement and damaged houses.

In implementation of donation distribution, PT Smelting partnered with multiple stakeholders to ensure direct distribution. Donation for North Sumatra was delivered on December 5, 2025, at the East Java BAPPEDA Office through the East Java CSR Forum, which subsequently coordinated with the East Java Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD). Donation for West Sumatra was distributed on December 7, 2025, while support for Aceh followed on December 10, 2025. The donation for West Sumatra and Aceh was distributed directly to the affected areas in collaboration with the Human Initiative, a non-governmental organization based in East Java.

“On behalf of the community, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to PT Smelting for providing food aid packages to support those affected by the natural disaster,” said Dandi, Expert Staff to the Regent of Agam, West Sumatra.

“We extend our appreciation to all CSR members, especially PT Smelting, for their support in disaster response efforts in Sumatra and Aceh,” said Nadiva, Secretariat of the Facilitation Team for the East Java CSR Forum.

“Through this donation, we hope that what we provide can be of benefit to the affected communities and help ease the burden they are currently facing,” said M. Fuad, Acting Assistant Section Manager of General Affairs at PT Smelting. (MAH)
