PROKLIM is a Community Program for Climate initiated by the government to broaden public participation in climate change adaptation and mitigation actions. The program focuses on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and strengthening community resilience to climate risks.
Since 2024, PT Smelting has supported a total of 10 PROKLIM locations, covering RW 1 and RW 2 in Prupuh Village; RW 3 and RW 4 in Kisik Village; RW 8, RW 2, and RW 12 in Sukomulyo Village; RW 2 in Roomo Village; and RW 2 in Ketanen Village. The support provided includes community training and mentoring, as well as the procurement of facilities to support climate change adaptation and mitigation actions.
In recognition of PT Smelting’s role in supporting the Climate Village Program (PROKLIM), on December 1, 2025, PT Smelting received recognition from the Ministry of Environment for its participation in climate change adaptation and mitigation efforts at PROKLIM locations.
The PROKLIM Support Award was presented to PT Smelting’s representative, Mr. Erika Silva (Vice President, Governmental & External Affairs), who was accompanied by Mr. Saptohadi Prayetno (Senior Manager, General Affairs) and the Regent of Gresik, Fandi Akhmad Yani.
“Through this recognition, PT Smelting reaffirms its commitment to supporting programs that deliver positive impacts for communities and the environment.
