PT Smelting distributed emergency assistance to residents affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru that was delivered directly at the evacuation post located at SMP Negeri 02 Pronojiwo, one of the evacuation centers accommodating hundreds of people from the impacted regions.
As of 22 November 2025, the SMPN 02 Pronojiwo Evacuation Post recorded 238 people, consisting of elderly residents, children, and other vulnerable groups. To help meet the basic needs of evacuees, company provided 30 hygiene kits, allocated to 30 households staying at the evacuation post. The emergency assistance was handed over by representatives of company, accompanied by members of Pecinta Alam Smelting (PAS), directly to the affected residents.
“We thank PT Smelting for the assistance provided. We hope it is beneficial, becomes a charitable act, and brings direct impact to victims of the mount. The situation remains prolonged, and we still do not know how long they must stay here. Once again, thank you, and may everyone stay healthy” said Hansony Firman Jaki, Deputy Coordinator of the Evacuation Post for victims of Mount Semeru Eruption.

We have provided 30 hygiene kits to support the basic needs of those staying at the evacuation post. We hope this assistance is useful and helps ease the burden of the affected residents” said M.
