PT Smelting wins 11 Awards at the Environmental & Social Innovation Awards (ENSIA) 2025. This event is organized by PT Sucofindo to appreciate businesses, academics, and the community that create innovations in the environmental and social fields.  

The award is given based on evaluation results focused on the novelty and uniqueness of the program, their environmental impact, as well as their contribution to social welfare in the community for programs in the categories of Energy Efficiency, Emission Reduction, Water Efficiency, Hazardous Waste Reduction, Biodiversity Protection, and Social Innovation.  

With the theme of Innovation for Socio-Economic and Ecological Harmony, the ENSIA award encourages innovations that provide business benefits as well as positive impacts for the community and ecosystems. The award trophy is made from 650 kg of recycled waste, demonstrating a commitment to sustainability.

With the numerous awards obtained through innovative and effective solutions, PT Smelting triumphed in the BEST OF THE BEST category for its waste management innovation, which was proudly received by PT Smelting’s Director, Ryuichi Hasegawa. The award was presented directly by the Deputy Minister of the Environment of the Republic of Indonesia, Diaz Hendropriyono, at the Birawa Assembly Hall, Hotel Bidakara, Jakarta, on Tuesday (September 16, 2025).  

"Innovation is no longer just an option, but the future of the industry for sustainable growth, making it a key strategy to ensure competitiveness and business resilience in the future," stated Diaz Hendropriyono.

The award was given to Ryuichi Hasegawa as Director PT Smelting and presented directly by the Deputy Minister of the Environment of the Republic of Indonesia, Diaz Hendropriyono, and rat the Birawa Assembly Hall, Bidakara Hotel, Jakarta, on Tuesday (September 16, 2925). 
PT Smelting is the winner of the Special Innovation for the 'Circular Village' Waste Processing Porgram, the award is given to Bouman Tiroi Situmorang, Assistant Department Manager of Government/External Relations. 
Inspiring Local Hero, Baharudin, received an award for the Clean Energy Transition category 'Circular Village'. 
Inspirational Local Hero, Ridwan Hidayat, received the award for the category of Healthy Food Systems for Humans and Ecosystems 'Circular Village'. 
The 6 awards were received by the Proper Team, represented by Rachmayani (General Affairs), Aprillia Anggasari (Refinery), Marwa E.K (Environment), dan Aditya R. (Enviroment).
