As the way to ensure the quality of its product, PT Smelting designed its production activity in good planning and systematic process, so the quality assurance system can be implemented to increase company credibility and to meet with customer requirement and satisfaction.

 

To guarantee the quality assurance system is in place and effective, PT Smelting has been implementing quality management system of ISO 9001 since January 2002 and always maintains the implementation of the conformance to standard requirement. By good implementation of this quality management system, good quality products can be managed too.

 

As the other quality assurance system, the Copper cathode product, as the main product of PT Smelting was registered at LME (London Metal Exchange) as "Grade A" category, after comprehensive test work in the customers, with the brand name "Gresik Copper Cathode".

Since 2004, LME has announced to terminate the issuing of brand certificates and changed through the publication of Notice of listed brands at LME web site : www.LME.com

In February 2022, our copper cathode product has been listed as deliverable copper cathode brands for its bonded copper futures from China’s Shanghai International Energy Exchange (INE).
